I live in Dubai and this day was truly terrifying. The worst rainstorm happened for the first time in 75 years and when it was 3pm it looked like 7pm because of how dark it was. It looked like a zombie apocalypse and the rain caused houses and roads to be flooded and damaged. Yes they do cloud seeding so there can be more rain in the uae since it’s dry but they did a bit too much that day. My house was fine but some people were unlucky. Work and schools were shut down and malls, shops and restaurants were flooded. Stay safe guys

Morbid fact, cloud seeding were used by the Americans during in Vietnam war to flooding the entire jungle however it backfires the vietnamese uses it as an opportunity to farmed their land turning it into a rice fields instead.

The rain was natural not because of cloud seeding. There was also floods and rain in Oman and some of the storms just transferred there…

All the streets and houses are flooded with water and it looks like a literal ocean

The problem is Dubai doesn’t have a good drainage system in place, they do this cloud seeding every now and then and there’s usually flooding to an extent, though this one is a little bit out of hands!

That was the most expensive thing they could have done 💀

Fun Fact: Cloud seeding can not enhance rain enough to the point where it makes THAT much rain.

I don't think it was cloud seeding. They just have very underdeveloped drainage systems. They've been seeding clouds since the 40s, and I live in Texas and see it every other day.

I’m an Emirati and I currently live in Dubai and it’s actually sad to say that also a lot of people have been severely affected by the rain so as my family and especially me and my mom. We got stranded in the middle of the flood and we thankfully got out but we got lost whilst trying to find a road that was not flooded but thankfully nothing happened to us and we are safe and sound ❤❤❤
