Wellis vs Bullfrog - Who makes the best hot tub

We get a lot of requests about these two brands so we thought we'd see how they stack up against each other. We've recommended both in the past but what do actual buyers say

M series and now the A series solved non-issue of stagnant water behind the packs (which was solved 10 years ago) by now moving the bypass intakes for the pumps to the base of the jet packs. It’s a slick design. It moves a ton of water behind the packs, it already moved enough but now it’s even better. Also better for accessibility if repairs are required. This really simplified their foot well.

The only people trashing bullfrog on a 15 year old issue are sales people who those who have an axe to grind.

A few years ago now Bullfrog started having tons of failures in Balboa parts who they sourced originally. They switched to Gecko and partnered to create a new system, board etc. it’s been fantastic.

Flow is not an issue on these machines. Tons of flow from each pack. Adjustable too with one valve control at the front facing base of each pack. It’s such a nice easy to use system now.

Purging the tub and forgot to turn on all the jets. You can just remove the pack, turn on the flow and put it back. VS either saying, “oh well” I’ll get it or next time climbing into the soup.

I am tub brand agnostic. All tubs 100% of all tubs have issue or can suffer failure. Anyone who has had more than one tub brand can attest to that. Top end or mid tier stuff. This video feels like you are trying to find issues for a comparison.

I seek out all the brands when looking for a new tub and really, most tubs are the same save for some unique features. Most tubs have all the same stuff in them too. There is no magic. Pump pumps water into fiverglass or acrylic vacuum formed tub. Water is distributed, chlorine chlorinates, bubbles bubble and heaters heat.

All that differentiates these is the shell design and how they get the water into the user and what filtration system they use.

People just need to find the one they want.

I had a leak in my R series Bullfrog. They fixed it but said it would leak again. So, they gave me a new tub. I received an A7 which was an upgrade from my R series. This is an excellent hot tub. No stagnant water behind the jet packs. We have moved our jet packs around as some seats are deeper than others. I use the Frog @ Ease system and it is so easy to maintain. I highly recommend them as they are a great tub and customer service is the best!

thousands of "very happy bullfrog owners" that you will literally never hear from us , a few complains means almost nothing, BTW to change the Jetpacks " anti boring feature" ...exclusive of Bullfrog takes not even 3 minutes, that's a "Fact" and so convenient and not more of the same old style boring tubs

Wellis is garbage. Those corner panels attach with bolts from the bottom...very awkward and equipment is on all sides so beware

Wellis spas are overpriced, cheap crap, made up of the cheapest Chinese parts you can find in China
Cheap pipe that bends quickly, little or no insulation, expensive to use electricity, poor frame, they use Y connections for the water pipe to save little money
I had one and the repairman had a key to my garden gate so I didn't have to take a day off every time
After a year I got tired and frustrated and threw that crap out and bought a Vortex
Australian top quality under Jacuzzi management and the price-quality ratio is a thousand times better than Wellis
