My next question is why is it that when you see Sherpas in interviews they don't have last names its just their first name then "Sherpa". Why is that?

Sherpa is also a surname of some Nepalis

I thought sherper was someone who "sherps" for a living. They always talk about sherpas as an occupation on the news when climbers get into an accident.
