President Moon designates Pohang city as special disaster zone

President Moon Jae-in designated Pohang in Gyeongsangbuk-do Province as a special disaster zone.
The city was hit hard by Typhoon Omais last month.
The government will provide financial support for recovery work and residents will receive emergency relief funds as well as discounts on gas and electricity bills.
According to the nation's top office, this is part of efforts to ensure a swift return to normalcy for those hit hard by the disaster.
