Launch ceremony of the European Innovation Council

The European Innovation Council (EIC) is a key novelty of Horizon Europe and represents the most ambitious innovation initiative that Europe has taken, with a budget of €10 billion for the period 2021-2027. The EIC has a mission to identify, develop and scale-up breakthrough technologies and disruptive innovations.

The launch ceremony will feature statements from:
- Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission
- Mariya Gabriel, Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth
- Christian Ehler, Member of the European Parliament
- Manuel Heitor, Portuguese Minister

Can a simple person cooperate in this good initiative?

IMO we are good at making signs out of money because there is a lot of money and we are not that good on making money out of science because there are tons of bureaucracy involved in creating a business and a lot of cost (in time and money). Let's be honest, the money spent for this event, including the organizations as well as paying the expenses of the people attending the event, is enough to launch several startups.
Will we have the guts to address all these things?
