St Helena Museum - Boer Prisoners of War artifacts

St Helena Museum Director, Adam Sizeland, showcases the amazing craftsmanship of the Boer Prisoners who were exiled to the island in 1900 - 1902.

Confined to large prison camps, the Boers found stimulation in crafting. They created stunning souvenirs with tools made from wood, bone, and metal.

Some of these intricate pieces are on display at the Museum along with quirkier items like the tiny wooden boot that Adam talks about in this video.
