The difference between how people love others is very stark. Lets take Selim for example - he loved Elif even before he knew that she was Meleks daughter, let alone Kenans. Same thing goes for Kiraz. On the other hand, Aliye's love is only reserved for her family members, her blood. And any other little love left over, is given to those who are of benefit to her and to those she loves. If she had treated Elif like a proper guest in this home from the word go, she would not have been feeling this bad. She didnt even want the servants to give Elif any tiny bit of attention. She's also now wondering why Ayse or Melek didnt tell her, yet she was the one who chased Melek away, adn when Melek showed up 7 years later at the farm, she was quick to send her away again. Even rudely. Why would Melek then inform her of having a grandchild? O the other hand, I just love how from the word go, Arzu's paranoia makes her do things that get her into trouble. She thinks she's destroying people and maintaining her place in the home, but all shes doing is working against her. She's shooting herself in the foot by seeing enemies everywhere.
