How to reset Drum on Brother HL-2270DW Printer HL-2220 HL-2230 HL-2240

If your Drum light is blinking, the drum needs to be replaced or reset. To reset the drum, follow the steps in the video:
1.While printer is on, open the front cartridge access door.
2. Press and hold the GO button until all lights light up one by one and all are lit.
3. Release the GO button and close door.

To print test page, quickly press the GO button 3 times.

THANK YOU! A few months ago, the printer started printing something by itself and I panic-turned it off. This jammed the printer: a sheet was in the middle of being printed out, so I had to pull it out manually. Subsequent prints had streaks of black ink on both sides. After replacing the drum and toner and following this short and simple guide, the drum life bar went from less than half to 100%! Although there's still a bit of dry ink on the back, I think that will go away as I resume printing. Once again, thank you!

Thanks for this! I bought one of these at a liquidation auction 2 years ago for $5 and the only reason it was so cheap was because it had these errors and was labelled "faulty". It sat on a shelf since then with every good intention of fixing it. Your video did just that - and the printer now has 100% drum and 72% toner and is ready for use. Whadda bargain!

I never knew this was what i was missing after replacing my toner cartridge.I actually tried two new one still it doesnt work.I then went and bought another printer becoz i thought my printer was faulty.However, i decided to research more about this lights popping up in my printer and saw this video. In less than 2mins i was all set and my printer was back to normal, from 0% my drum shows 100% after the reset.
