My family is from the heart of where this fruit grows and I can tell you with confidence it tastes nothing like a raspberry 😂 more like a slightly soft apple texture and a special flavor. Most fruit have unique flavors and this has its own can’t really compare and especially to a raspberry 😂

The taste of the fruit is like an over-ripenned water-melon's with some aromas, like distantly reminding a dried banana.
Raspbery taste? One must have no sense of taste if they think so :)
