When Do You Need A Building Inspection?

It can be hard to know when to call for an inspection and know what an inspector is needing to see, while also still keeping your project moving forward. As a building inspector, I consistently see inspections from multiple angles. Homeowners will call and ask me to come out and walk them through their project and discuss areas that will need inspection. Or I will show up for an inspection and items that I needed to see have already been covered! (A big problem.) If you got a permit for your project and inspections are required, it's a good idea to know when those inspections are needed. This video walks your through the basic inspections that you can usually expect to see on a home project and the rule of thumb on when an inspection may be required.
