Some Indonesians who invested in Gerald's company, Vector, tried stealing the company from him and failed. The court case drained him and he died recently still trying to get funding. I worked with Weigart for nearly a year. We were working on a new one. The W8 has an Oldsmobile transmission case and GM turn signal control, but all the important parts were made aircraft spec. The weight reduction should have been improved. The new Vector was going to eventually use the MYT engine made by another friend of mine, Raphial Morgado. I'd like to see it in the old W8

I couldn’t wait to comment. I lived in shin Yokohama in 2005-06 and would jog/run by a shop called “Raging Bull”. For a while their showroom had a white Vector W8 with a chromed or polished motor intake.

Saw one in a McDonald's parkinglot, in North Dakota 😂 when I was a kid. It was black, the owner let me sit in it and that dash was amazing.

Fantastic story, I remember as a kid the Vector would pop up in various car mags but no one was sure if they were actually in production !!

The image at 7:41 is not the same car. This is car 15 owned by @VectorW8015. The car the video is about is the ex Michael Lajtay car taken to Japan after Michael restored the vehicle. The car in the video is car 08. Key differences: Pearl orange flake in 08, and pearl blue flake in 15. Mirror air intakes in 15 and none in 08.
