My son is 19, and my daughter is 17. Both were "out of wedlock" before I was 21, and I was raised Baptist in a small town. I don't give myself enough grace for the past 20 years, but this song reminded me that my mess was the biggest blessings of my life. Thank you for reminding us what God can do when we choose life. ❤

I connected with this song, instantly. After 3.5 years and a home together, when I found out I was having my son, he gave me a choice. Never thought at 24 with my entire future infront of me, I'd be left 4 moths pregnant if I didn't make the choice he told me to make. I chose my son. Now he's going to be 3. Being a single mom, its tough, of course. Wouldn't change it for the world. I love him more than anything. Jesus, him, and coffee are the reasons I wake up in morning. God bless hard choices. We have to be strong enough to make them, and the lord will honor and provide. Keep your faith, and keep your grit. We got this!

This song definitely speaks to me as well. When I turned 20 my mom told me in a letter that when she got pregnant with me there was pressure put upon her to “get rid of” me. My parents had not wanted children, and my mom’s mother didn’t really want kids either and was encouraging of her to not have them either. Thus, there was much consideration about abortion. My mom made an appointment with a pregnancy care centre to try and receive guidance and help with what she should do. Ultimately she decided to keep me after her counsel with the care centre, and it’s why I’m such a huge advocate for pregnancy care centres, and what started my passion for being pro-life.

Thank you for this song. My story is a little different, i was struggling with addiction in an abusive relationship. I was the first one in my entire family ever to have a baby before marriage. I knew i was having a girl already and still had people telling me to get an abortion. 9 years later i have the most beautiful daughter. It wasn’t easy but it was right. I now have a wonderful man who raises her like his own, along with out boy and one on the way now. To anybody struggling in this circumstance just know you are strong, you can get through this. If all else fails turn to God. He is always there.

I remeber watching you on the voice, and seeing how far you've come and grown is amazing. It's hard enough to write a song but to able to write a song like that takes a lot of guts and strength. I love how personal this song is and the emotion put into it. But as they say it's the things that you got through in life that make you who you are. I had no parents growing up was just me and my brother moving from home to home to then as an adult find out I have sisters I never knew about, It just goes to show the impact people can have on your lives and how the choices they make affect you.
