Manhattan business has got to be the hardest hit. No tourists, few locals, high rents, and high taxes. Queens businesses still have most of their customer base because of local residents that remained.

New York City property owners have to accept that the rents have to come down substantially in order to maintain. Atleast for the next few years otherwise the city will collapse economically ultimately becoming bankrupt as it did 40 years ago.

NYC has been going under for years it’s like a huge cesspool

This won't stop. Empty storefronts are going to keep increasing in more than alarming rates throughout NYC. People are fleeing the city to the suburbs and barely any new residents are coming in as people are now afraid of the city overcrowding will increase Covid-19 infection chances. Immigration is halted or very limited and even so, not many people from other countries want to come to USA as it now has the largest dramatic rates of Covid-19, which also contributing to a decline in new residents moving into the city. Tourism is very low at this time. The crime rate is up. Also, now that people can easily work from home with their technologies living out in the suburbs with more affordably living space than in the cities and not have to deal with noise and overcrowding, they now have very little reasons to want to come to the big cities to live in.

Each year the estimate property tax is always higher than last year. The government need to realize taxes are too high and people are leaving nyc
