I think this bike goes beyond beginners, to maybe the older folks that don't care about specs and just want a simple and engaging ride every so often

Never ridden one, but I think RE is making some of the best looking bikes on the road right now. I know they aren't anything fancy, but everything they make just hits right for me stylistically.

I never heard of Royal Enfield until January. I wanted to get back into motorcycling after a few years off. But, I just wanted something small just to zip around Houston. I went to a local Triumph/Royal Enfield dealer to test ride a used Honda Rebel 300. I decided to try out a Royal Enfield Meteor while I was there. No comparison. I rode home on the Royal Enfield and am I ever glad I did! It's a great little bike!

40 years of riding, best bike I have ever ridden, just hits the sweet spot.

I have owned mine for 3 years and I love it more than ever. With dry weather and high gas prices it's my daily commuter getting just over 55mpg. It cruises happily at 80mph, has been super reliable, save for the original battery which last maybe 3 months. I have 2 other bikes you hate as well, Kawasaki Z900rs and shock horror gasp a Harley Davidson Dyna. The Enfield has character and draws attention wherever it goes. She's a keeper!

VINDICATION! I'm someone who just started riding a bit later in life and did a ton of research before settling on an Int650. It's a perfect first bike, full stop. It's got the right power level that you're not going to injure yourself too easily but is still fun to get on the throttle. Well-balanced, little heavy but to be expected from a retro bike. One tip for the YN team when you start looking for stuff to put on it is there's a *TON* of super cheap aftermarket and even OEM parts on eBay direct from India that you can't even get from the US dealers. I got their 'premium touring seat' (different model from the upgraded touring seat you can get in the US) for less than $150 and it's a big upgrade in seat comfort. They've got a bunch of exhausts available too. I'm planning on getting an AEW TE 101 exhaust for mine, you can find a bunch of Indian motovlogger videos comparing the exhaust notes.

That Intro was ON POINT! Papa Yam wearing a duster and an eye patch was so unexpected and everything I needed today... Spite (maybe) going to eat him was also fantastic... Then the outro marshmallow roast.... Guys, this is the stuff that keeps me coming back. also the bike also looks nice... sounds good too.

Vindicated. But even though the title had me worried, I'd knew we'd get the straight scoop from you guys and the straight scoop on these bikes is that they are awesome... and for the price... they are incredible.

The way I see it. Angry super fast technologically advanced bikes are amazing. 200 hp on a race ready state of the art lightweight frame with some of the best suspension money can buy? Fuck yeah! Add a plethora of electronics that basically make you feel like a little mini rossi on the track. And you have an amazing machine that a lot of people would kill for!

But just as there are lots of people that would love something like that I'd venture to say there's also a lot of people that genuinely don't care. They aren't concerned with lap times. They arent concerned with dyno numbers. They arent concerned with 0 to 60 times. They just want something thats fun and affordable. That gets them from point A to point B in style. And THATS where RE. comes in. Their bikes aren't fast. They don't handle well (when compared to modern sport bikes). They don't have the latest technology. But they are cheap. They sound great. They are playful as all hell. And they are absolutely BEAUTIFUL.

I don't care what kawasaki does to their zh2. It's got absolutely NOTHING on REs classic 350. The bikes are just so timeless and beautiful that you don't even want to ride them because you just want to look at em.

I really feel like REs are for people that just want to enjoy the ride. They are happy to be on anything with 2 wheels and everything else can fuck off.

I be loving my RE Int650 AND I be lovin’ my Yammie Noob videos equally! These are not mutually exclusive. I traded out of my BMW GS 1250 for this. It’s my 6th motorcycle and I love it! I tour on it w/o any problems. It’s a great platform and you can work on it yourself because there’s no silly plastic to fight with. Just the pure, honest essence of motorcycling. Thanks Papa Yam!

The 650 twins are a brilliant base to build from. There are a massive amounts of aftermarket parts you can buy for it. From slip on end cans, to 865cc big bore kits.

Vindicated is the answer. I’m glad you guys like it, hopefully the you all agree with us about the Himalayan, too. The upcoming, liquid cooled 450 Himmy should tickle your fancy when it’s out, but I appreciate the 411’s the tractor-esque ride. If the liquid cooled version keeps the 411’s charm it might be a more true KLR competitor.

I got this bike this January as my second bike, first one was Honda Navi and coming from the Navi this thing felt like a death machine. It felt really heavy and acceleration felt like it would rip my soul from my body. And just after a few months I feel like this bike is slow. The revs won't go beyond 7000 and you have to change gears early to get to speed quickly, it feels like a cruiser.
It's a great bike to cruise around 60mph and acceleration is decent too, but this bike helped me realise that sometimes I just need a crazy high revving bike that screams all the way to 13-15k rpm and accelerates like it's going into hyperspace. But mostly I'm happy with what this bike is. It looks cool, corners well, gets up to speed easily and is plenty fast for indian roads.
From time to time I think of dumping it and getting a Triumph Speed Twin, but then I go on a ride and Indian roads and drivers remind me that this bike is plenty fast and flamboyant enough to get me killed.
