Am I the only one who thought “hey it’s Robb Stark and Jon Snow together again”? I also couldn’t help but laugh that they were both in love with Sersi 🤣

I really thought Druig would turn out to be the real villain, but it turned out to be Ekaris. Didn’t see that coming.

I thought Chloe Zao did a great job with such a big cast of characters we haven’t done before and I was watching it hoping and praying it inspires Marvel to give us a real Inhumans movie and also realising that they can give us a good X-Men reboot

We need a sequel to find out Sersi, Kingo and Phastos fate, after Arisham took them away for judgement at the end of the movie. I also like how Sersi granted Sprite mortality, so now the actress can come back in a sequel as a teen or young adult Sprite and not have to explain her aging.

We all know that Kit Hartington has experience with legendary swords anyway. But Blade should have said to him, " You know nothing Dane Whitman"!!!

At 1:30 When you were naming off the remaining Eternals who were in the fight you didn’t mention Thena, and she’s the most badass fighter of them all lol

I still can't get over that Sersi and Ikaris were in relationship for 800 years and suddenly she fell for Dane, a mortal who happens to have a lineage with King Arthur. She may as well fall for Homelander, after all the DC namedroppings they did.

The question is...are the celestials and by extension, Ikaris really the villains? Is what Ikaris did really an act of evil? I mean, if we look at this from the perspective of those who would have been born through the new celestial....what Ikaris did was actually a heroic act...standing up and fighting against those that he love most to protect the lives (universe) that should have been who is the real villain of this story? Is there a clear villain? Is Ereshem (That celestial guy) really a villain? Are the celestials the villains? Are the deviants really evil?
Gosh I love questions that are up for debate....it is not just light vs dark and the answer is not really set in stone.

Fun fact:
Athena was her mentor, that's why she was named after her, Thena's birth name was actually Azura

Technically it’s Marvel’s best film. The visuals, effects, production value is incredibly rich. Marvel movies often get criticised for having dull, bland colours but this film is gloriously stunning. The performances are sound, the director who’s known for more arthouse fare, brought a lot of maturity to the usual gag-a-minute marvel formula.

At its core the film works because it’s really about a perfect team wanting to break free from their obligations in order to find their own purpose.

I like it a lot. The only problem is the story if you think about it, really doesn’t make sense. It’s convoluted, the film tries ways to overcome it but there’s no denying the obvious.
The ending is also just a series of teases, setting up the next instalment.

However the film has plenty of action, humour and character development executed with precision and delicacy, leaving one satisfied nonetheless.

Eternals is not a groundbreaking film, it struggles to break free from the conventional marvel-movie-formula but underneath is a strong cinematic extravaganza that possess the right amount of artistic value. Chloe Zhao delivers an earnest comicbook film that at its best explores the interpersonal struggles of superhero’s who are cursed with immortality.

I’m satisfied and intrigued to see what happens next.

7.5/10.

What a great video! There was so much interesting new info I didn't know about them. I think some people didn't like it because the
marketing made people expect an Avengers type of action packed movie but Eternals was more story driven and touched on a lot of issues.
