My name is Chris Igwe and I am excited to welcome you back to yet another one of our Leadership video series.

The topic I want to talk to you about today is on Leadership and Authenticity. Do you know what are The Qualities of Authentic Leaders and Is Your Leadership Style Authentic at all? We will also talk about Authentic Leadership What It Is and What It Is Not.

The foundation I am referring to in this video when it comes to Leadership and Authenticity is the one we have used in the book I have co-authored. We have taken our evidence around two individuals: Rob Goffee and Gareth Jones who wrote the book “Why Should Anyone Be Led By You”.

So, in their book they came up with essentially 4 Traits – The Qualities of Authentic Leaders. And I hope that through the following you will be able to identify and answer truthfully to my question: Is Your Leadership Style Authentic?

⭐ THOUGH EMPATHY: is about Balance; Fair or Impartial
- Closeness vs Remoteness
- Respected and Trusted vs Liked

⭐ REVEALING WEAKNESSES: is about Inner Strength; Being Open
- Strong vs Weak
- Knowledge Gap
- Core Abilities

⭐ DARING TO BE DIFFERENT: is about How Far are you willing to go; Being You
- Unique
- Non-Conformist
- Being Accepted
- Your Truth

Do you now have a firm answer to my question – Is Your Leadership Style Authentic? After this knowledge you have got now on Leadership and Authenticity you should be able to know where you stand in terms of Authentic Leadership.
