I have had mine a little over two weeks in that exact color with the 6 speed manual. Such a great car and I am an old fart, like your parents age old (52). I actually own two Mk7 Jetta's both with manual transmission, one S trim I have been leasing for a year and the new GLI. It is way too good for the price and honestly both cars and engines are excellent. Very torquey and quick but this GLI handles and pulls like a beast. Going to be taking out on the Autocross track in a couple of weeks in the G-Street class and I will let you know how she does. Great review and good luck with the channel.
