As a highschool sprinter, seeing them smash all of my best times in training is extremely humbling

47.1 and a 20.90 in practice? Even just with hand times that's amazing

It's funny, great athletes usually don't make good coaches. But Carl Lewis seems to have the stuff. I love the rapport he has with his athletes.

Carl lewis was the most gifted long jumper sprinter ever. Glad he’s inspiring the next generation so well. I watched Carl win all his medals to his retirement

Carl came all the way to Canada to coach Jared and another long jumper at the Canadian championships last summer. These guys aren't world class athletes but Carl was going the extra mile (literally) to help them. I admired how much energy he put into athletes who weren't big stars but were just part of his Houston team. I spent some time talking with him and he is much more humble now than when he was younger and has a good attitude to coaching. It was fun to see him running around trying to give athletes help as if they were his own kids. He's just another coach out there doing what the rest of us do coaching our athletes... except that he is a legend, of course!! Good job, Carl.

My dad used to sprint in college back in the 70's. They used to do "heart rate cool downs". They'd do 400s and 200s, and when their heart rate would return to 70 BPM, they'd go again. At the end of the season, they could compare time between runs as well as run times themselves to see improvement in performance as well as conditioning.

They got Pop Burrell, Carl, Tellez, Jr and Debbie Ferguson. That's a Hall of Fame coaching crew, right there!

Coming from the North East I know Carl appreciates and sees things other coaches can’t. It’s cold in places from Main to VA so the times are not going to look the same as a kid in FL but the talent may be there. I’ve been a fan of his for a long time and it takes a lot to change gears from a iconic talented Athlete to a very good coach

Usually legends don’t make the best coaches but Carl Lewis and Leroy Burrell are not only two great sprinters of the past but now two outstanding coaches as well. This Houston team is gonna win some NCAA titles in the future.

Carl Lewis is a great Coach.  He's been under great coaching himself, and have proved that by qualifying and going to 12 to 16  years of Olympic competition.  He knows his stuff!!  The heart is such a great organ!!  You treat it right and exercise properly and it will bring you gold.  The heart wants to be efficient!!  This 400-300-200-100 Workout will train the heart to be its best.  This is also a good work out for everyone too!!  We did these long ago in the 70's when I was in junior high school.  If you didn't you couldn't be on the team.  Everyone did them and we got better.
