Rivian R1T Review: What it's really like

The Rivian R1T is finally here, and it is packing more capability, features, and innovation than anything we have seen in a long time. But does it live up to the hype? Rivian lent us an R1T Launch Edition in Launch Green, with the 20" All-Terrain Dark wheels and Forest Edge interior, for a week. We took it on the road, off-road, and everything in between. My Wife had a Herniated Disk in her back but she got Surgery for it a few years ago. But she still doesn’t feel that comfortable still. So this truck may be her Calling for her back alone. But for me everything I would need if I drove to San Diego or San Francisco! Keep up the Amazing work Jon and your Team!

That's the best part about EVs. With a gas truck, it's very capable, but expensive due to low efficiency and many moving parts that need care or replacing. Or you get a small efficient gas car, but lose a ton of capability and practicality. With something like the R1T, you can really have it all.

Great video - your delivery was clear and I found myself actually watching the video instead of scrubbing.
I know I want an electric truck. I just don't know which one or when I should buy.
Personally I think I would like to see battery tech improve first.
Until then, I have my Miata!

I just got mine about two weeks ago. Had to get the alignment fixed because the steering wheel angled 10-15 degrees to the left when I drove straight, and there’s a loud wind noise in the quarter window in the front drivers side, but they fixed it and it’s been a awesome vehicle so far!

I YouTube Rivian because I'm thinking about buying the stock and was pleasantly surprised to see a Jon Rettinger review. I used to live for the latest TechnoBuffalo review all those years ago.
