I love Toyota but the Trail-King honor goes to the XJ in the USA.!!! But in third world countries Toyota Hi-Lux!!

They are both extremely capable. If you notice in very inhospitable places on earth, they have tons of Toyota's to traverse the terrain. It is more of an American thing to own a jeep they are harder to get parts for in other countries, hence the wide usage of the Toyota's. Both are outstanding and capable. Both have faults and weaknesses in their brands it just a personal preference on who likes what more. I personally like Toyota's but wouldn't turn down having a built Jeep to wheel with.😎👍

Well, lets see. I don't see many yota crawlers doing hard core obstacles here on Youtube XJ's we see on a lot of channels doing some real wheeling. Im biased though, I own 2 XJ's ( plus a WJ GRAND CHEROKEE )

if talking bout stock form and compare them then can campare bout when u have builds like that and toyota with a solid axle swap that no longer is compared by toyota or jeep they are far from stock and have been redesigned by someone else they have similar wheelbase and both suv also you can have baddest rig and dont know how to drive offroad it comes down to driver as well so all the stupid back and forth of toyota jeep and fords who cares just go out and have fun
