She’s not always used for bad people just use her wrong. She’s a great saint And very motherly. She’s amazing and will protect those who truly value her. She’s gods right hand. She’s works right beside him. He’s life and she is death she is the one who delivers your soul to hell or heaven. But she also promises protection and guidance in the after life

I had gone through bad moments in life I used to have extreme panic attacks couldnt live normally one day I had smoked weed and had a panic attack and i felt like nothing was real I was having a huge depersonalization moment and then I felt an immense presence wrap around me and I knew it was my Santa Muerte bringing me back to reality. She has gotten me through so much in my life that I truly cant believe people see her as bad.

She’s actually very compassionate and teaches you not to see things at face value including her own form, to get rid of fear or anxiety, once you see past her death appearance you’ll soon learn she’s the most compassionate and caring, true devotees don’t associate with evil, because she teaches us to value life, not glorification of death or dying itself . She helps us accept death as part of life, not to have fear

Idaho here. Yes, I'm white, we're all the same in the end to her. It's nice to feel like you have someone with you that you can actually feel.

Y’all… I know so many people who are devotees of her who have absolutely nothing to do with drug cartels or crime LOL. She’s a common folk saint in Mexico

I guess it is because of her portrayal in modern culture.
In movies and TV shows she is like a saint who protects criminals, so i do understand people's confusion about her being worshipped solely by criminals.

I'm not religious myself, but i have this Santa Muerte patch on my bag because the artwork just looks really cool.
I also like Diá de Muertos skeleton face paint art 💀

She is definitely a real Saint, my journey with her started not too long ago when I was first hesitant to devote my faith into her, but one day on a walk I see a blue ojo bracelet on the floor good as new, of the miles I walked I somehow stumbled along the braclet as if it was her answering to my prayer, she will answer you when you call for her and is definitely very real.

Thank you for this more well rounded story. She brings much hope to many. Santa Muerte has survived as a wonderful Folk Saint and will always make her way through colonization and oppression.

No matter what you believe as a catholic you aren’t supposed to pray to saints or worship them it’s against the bible. Most people pray to them and it’s stupid it literally says not too in the bible

Being a Medium I can first hand say it really depends on who you ask. If your a single mom asking for a father's recompense for your child she'll fight tooth and nail. If your on the end of that stick we'll good luck with that. For the church to say she's not real is plain ignorance. Although she comes from Catholic origin herself the reason I believe she can't be canonized is for the simple fact that she is a folk saint and she does have a dark side to her which most Catholic saints don't. We as Catholics believe God is the only one to cast judgement on our foes and that magic, mediums and witches are things that should be cast out or condemned. La Santa muerte is and always will be a spiritual tradition not a religion.

Meanwhile a drug bust elsewhere with a ton of crosses and pictures of Christ doesn’t seem unusual.

The fact that I could be considered a drug trafficker just because I'm Mexican and a devote to la santa muerte is so mind boggling to me. La santa muerte has saved my life on more than one occasion she has opened doors for me that were previously shut. I love her she's the best thing I could ever ask for she's been there for me almost all my life in the most discret ways that u never noticed until I became her devote. I love her amen
