Both of them are most spoken languages in Republic of Uzbekistan.

Tajik is Indo-European and Uzbek is Turkic. So they're pretty much different.

As a Kurdish living in Turkey, I mostly understood both of them, though :)

I noticed this lovely similarity between both languages that is the recurrent [o] sound that is a direct influence from Persian, despite Persian pronouncing it [ɒ] instead.

I see similar words here and there. Tajik/Persian loanwords in Uzbek?

I like the crow sounds in the Tajik reading. It makes it sound like it was recorded on some barren plain.

As a native speaker of the Kazakh language, Uzbek sounds lighter and softer to me compared to Tajik

Although Uzbek is a Turkic language but it sounds persian and it has a lot Persian influence.

Uzbek: Uzbekistan
Tajik: Tajikistan
All Central Asian languages were Turkic, except Tajik because Tajik was originally related to Persian, Hindi or Urdu, I think.
