XP DEUS II | Beginners guide to hunting wet sand

Gary talks about the XP Deus II and how to set it up for searching wet sand!

- On the beach we recommend the 28cm (11") coil, it offers good coverage and a good compromise between weight / performance / stability on a wet beach where iron pollution is generally quite low.
- On electrically conductive terrain such as beaches saturated with seawater, FMF® will not generate the instabilities of a single-frequency detector and will therefore be able to detect deeper with much greater stability.

Well done Gary. I got my XPD2 to the beach. Both coils worked great. Had to make a adjustments, just the normal stuff and what a smooth platform. Actually found jewelry with both, but I more wanted to see the performance myself and get a handle on it. Hunted the Treasure Coast of FL with it.

Good info. But, some questions you might address in your next video... In shallow saltwater, might one be able to use either beach mode? Say standing knee to chest deep. Or will Dive mode only work? Next, when in shallow saltwater, is one supposed to ground balance and why? Because I never had to GB using my Excalibur or 3030. I thought multi frequency machines didn't require GB? And again wonder if doing a GB in saltwater works? Lastly, regarding the red dive plug... if one remains in shallow saltwater surf say 2 to 5 foot, for hours at a time, will the black plug leak and should the red plug be used? Why not use the red plug always? I ask because 3 of the same competitor units flooded in an average of 4' surf depth. I know what the manual says about the plugs, but am still not sure as a Deus II owner when to swap plugs? I mean with the standard black plug, in shallow surf for hours, could it flood? Thanks.

Always enjoy your videos Gary, thanks!
The magnetic says accept or reject. You said on or off. I know I have a 50/50 chance here, but it might have been easier to say "accept or reject" instead of "on or off".... I'm thinking I'd want reject to be enabled, please let me know if I have it backwards.

Targeting brass, copper, lead and aluminium relics, I have found the low frequency-weighted Diving program to be a great base for a modded program.

I'm on the beach very frequently almost every day one thing I've noticed is that in the surf they need to make a lower shaft something more stable! the lower shaft flexes way too much in the surf great machine but they need to address this and make a lower shaft that doesn't flex so much! Good video as always Gary 👍🦀
