Hey from another psoriasis suffer. Had to all over. My head was the WORST. My doctor put my on Otezla first, and although it seemed like it would work, it made me so sick. He then put me on Skyrizi. Just 4 weeks into treatment, my skin is completely clear. No more patchy spots on my elbows & no more flakes from my scalp.
I wish you luck.

Yes, maggots are great for cleaning wounds. But if you have a wound so severe that maggots are required to clean it, it’s probably not a good sign.

Stem cells have been around (in the scientific world) for 20+ years. They just really don't want to use them. Stem cells can fix/cure the problem. But treating/prolonging the problem makes more money!

I thought that the "maggot in wound" thing was fairly common knowledge. It's a great solution for things like gangrene and necrosis because they only consume dead flesh. They are therefore very adept at clearing out everything you'd want removed in those situations while leaving everything you want to keep perfectly untouched.

Hi Mike! Maggots cleaning up a wound have been a thing for a long time now. It sounds gross, but it has saved many a life and limb from gangrene over the years. As necrosis sets in, the maggots dine on the decaying flesh, thus in the process, help to minimize the consequences of a serious infection. Yeah maggots!

The Doctors used Maggots on a wound on my left foot. they had been irradiated to prevent them from developing in to flies. These dead flesh eaters were tiny only 2-3mm long and came packaged in what looked like a Tea Bag. This Tea Bag was placed then bandaged to the wound for several days . Once removed the little guys where well feasted bad sadly dead. The wound was clean and the dead flesh devoured. Shame these maggots had to die. They caused me no pain and saved my foot.

My grandad had maggot therapy when he had his legs amputated. They ate all the infected gross flesh.

I am counting on eyes being repaired as easy as a broken limb.

Just imagine calling the fire department and the pull out sound blasting machine. 🤔

Went to see a badly burned cousin when I was about 12, back in 1967. He was suspended in a special bed but it looked odd. I looked closer to see his entire body was covered in writhing maggots!!!! Turns out they eat the dead skin & it was the most painless manner to remove the dead flesh to prevent rotting & infection. Freaked me out big time though😮

St. John's Wort oil from your Health Food Store works, too. Cheaper and no side effects. I had psoriasis on knees, elbows and hands that was so bad the skin would crack and bleed. The oil healed it in a matter of weeks AND took the pain away in the process.

Maggots, yeah they sound icky! Well they are icky! I had to deal w/ fruit fly maggots just today! {{{{SHIVER- SHUDDER}}}} HOWEVER...an oncology nurse I once worked w/ told me of a patient she once had. This was many years ago, so I may have other stories that have blended in over the years, but I know the gist of it is the truth due to how deeply it affected me to hear it! The woman's husband had cancer too, & she took care of him until he passed & ignored her needs. So after he passed, she was admitted to this nurse. She had some sort of fabric wound around her heel/ankle area. My friend began removing it to visualize the wound. And she found maggots! She flushed them off & said that it was the cleanest wound she had ever seen!! Sounds great, but IDK whether I could stand their wiggling around!! Then again wounds that bad may have lost the sense of touch.

The medicinal effect of maggots, was discovered in WWI. When soldiers sustained hip wounds, they often died due to infections. But, they once retrieved a wounded soldier, who'd been out in 'no man's land' with a severe hip wound, for several days. They discovered his wound was infested with maggots. Hence, they developed the new treatment.
