Cleanup Progress Oct 2021

UCOR and the Oak Ridge Office of Environmental Management have been hard at work with cleanup projects on the Oak Ridge Reservation. In October, Y-12 deactivation was in full swing on a major source of mercury contamination; crews continued remediation projects at ETTP; and at ORNL, crews met a major milestone in the cleanup of the 1950’s era isotope production facilities. Upgrades to the waste management system are streamlining and synergizing waste tracking from work sites to disposal locations.
