Crawler Canyon Quick(re)view: GRC G2 Wilderness axles (for TRX-4)

Показать описание
This is the quickview of the GRC G2 Wilderness alloy axles for TRX-4. These are complete housing replacements, and accept stock Traxxas internals. Very smooth.

Fun fact: Daphne tested the G2 knuckles about 5 months ago-- the same knuckles that are now on the Tranquish. I didn't even remember that happening.

I have the CNC version of those axles and I love how tight the gears are and how smooth the turning is. The more you use them the more you'll like them. Great show again and thank you.

What a long journey Daphne has been on from trx4 sport to the WMD she is now, nice to see all your hard work paying off. As always Mr Da Vinci thank you.

Currently mounting 5.25 Tusk on the K10 HT. I'm going to run it in the dark tonight using head lamps before the rain starts. I could have a problem. lol

No what would be amazingly appreciated if you started a high trail episode making the trx4 hightrail the best crawler it can be. Would be awesome and appreciated and amazingly awesomeness 🎉

I've got a set of Ground Hawg's on my VS-410. Great tires, my opinion

You said something about making a adapter plate for the 2 speed. I have no experience but with your knowledge and workshop...see where I'm going with this? I bet there's members that will put there 2 cents in also. Just a thought.

more total steering angle will be more useful over Ackerman angle on a crawler. that is heavy heavy for a single axle wow. look great and fun test

Nice looking axles but I just don’t think I would have the skills to hook all that up right like you have. But they are sweet

Kingpin panhard is still working on Yoda.

I think making the panhard longer reduces axle swing. That's got to reduce bump steer some. When the panhard is short, having an equal length/parallel drag link seems more important.

It looks like the inserts are over compressing with the added weight, more squish in the gates than i would like in my rig, maybe causing the extra front lift and early rollout in gates
gr8 channel thanks for your hard work

Yes sir...will be buying 3 sets of these now...broke the Vitavon front axle because of the lower C hub. They have no replacement part for it and their customer service doesnt respond. Thank you for this, ive been looking for a good axle. It looks like the front comes complete..did you have to build the rear?

Is the steering angle the same as with just the GRC G2 knuckles? I would think it wouldn't be different..

So would a different gift cover work that would have better clearances or are those diff covers specific to those housings?

I have a question! I have a fusion 2in1 1800 kv. In reverse it surges.
But in forward, it works just fine. Any idea what I did wrong or what could be wrong?

What’s the best way to build this truck from scratch, parts wise? This will be my first build
