I mean, I just came back from Japan and went around Fuji and this sight was of no interest for me. What's the point of a convinient store picture. And aren't they tired of having the same picture as everyone?!

I was there last Saturday, January 11, and that spot is littered with tourists! 😅

I reckon they should build a gigantic billboard on top of Lawson with a 2D version of Mt. Fuji and add a message that says, "Don't cross the road to take pictures of Mt. Fuji + Lawson!" 😅

They could just put a lawson on the middle of nowhere and a view of Mt Fuji, maybe a museum attached

Where is the fence? That little yellow thing? And I thought it would be around the Lawson carpark or something to get tourists out of the carpark. Does the title actually mean they’re currently installing said fence (which will be seen at a later date)?

Yes it was only a matter of time. I watched many tourists crossing the road between traffic. Very dangerous.

Imagine telling our grandparents that you travelled hundreds or even thousands of miles to go take a picture of an ugly store, just to copy one you saw online, taken by.... Not a famous photographer but by a nobody.
Imagine how ashamed of you they would be!

What a smallminded place the world has become. It might be a bit inconvenient but these are just people who are enjoying the view of Mount Fuji. In a way it is similar of the famous Japanese woodblock paintings depicting many views of Mount Fuji. Putting a net and disrupting the view was o childish and xenophobic, and now this...
