Thats a very nice piece, but i believe the attractice part is to have it attach directly to the axle, as to actually push the wheels into the ground. Otherwise, in this context, the aero push is going through chassis flex.

And typically, with the aero thats just mounted to panels... It just turns into panel flex.

Try looking up the Chaparral 2E, it has some interesting reading to do about its aero solutions:

Jim Hall, who was the primary engineer for Chapparal, designed the 2E so that the wing struts were attached directly to the suspension uprights. This worked very well, and soon was copied by other race teams, notably in Formula One.

Soon, the danger of this application led to it being banned. The structure supporting the wing was under enormous stress, and subject to severe vibration and impact as the suspension rode over the bumpy tracks of the day - many of which were public roads closed off for the race.

Failure of the wing usually happened at the worst possible moment, in a high speed corner where the sudden loss of downforce would lead to a catastrophic accident.

Wings attached to the suspension were quickly banned, along with other moveable aero devices, and still are today.

Facts. If you can't stand on the splitter/ undertray it's a "beauty piece." When you hit the track and moving fast the shit will bow and flex as soon as it's making downforce. It'll do nothing if it flexes.

That gen ACR is an awesome Viper to own. I couldn't think of another one aside from a GTS with the rear exit exhaust. That rear exit sounds superbly better than the side pipes. The side exit exhaust sounds like an inline 5, it splits the sound evenly.

My $25 amazon splitter with 3m double-tape struts can do that too😎

The front splitter itself - DOES NOT generate 1, 000.lbs of down force by itself.
