How To Calculate Slopes And Gradients?

Показать описание
An engineer needs to know how to calculate slopes and gradients in differing situations.
The most common occurrence of this is working with ramped access to buildings, groundworks, car parks, and so on.
Slopes can be measured in angles, percentages, and ratios. For this video, I will focus on the measurement of slopes in ratios, mainly because gradient ratios are stated in the building regulations.

I would say gradient is rise/run. 0.5/10 = 1:20

I may making a mistake to calculate what google maps defines moderate hill on my journey to my working place. the road length is 700m (0, 4 mile) and the difference in altitude is 18, 89 mt (62ft). what calculation should I do?

In your fb page it says that the formula to find the gradient is m = rise/run. But here it says that to find it is m = Run/ Rise. I'm just curious. Which one is right?
