You decide to take a walk and explore. You find, mountains, deserts, and many forests. Eventually, the blue sky turns pink, and the moans of monsters echo throughout the land. Then, a hissing sound comes from behind you. A cloud of smoke and fire shoots from behind you, and you fall into a deep ravine. You wake up on hard stone, and in cave. That waterfall must've carried you here. You look around. Dazzling blue and pink crystals dot the huge cavern, and the room is silent, except for the ring of some Chinese bell, and the rushing water. You lay out a mat of wool you collected from some fluffy sheep, and sit down on the mat. You look at the crystals, and many instruments play in the distance. You enjoy the music, and fall sleep. You dream of being far away... FAR away from home..

By FAR the best music disc in minecraft.

It creates a sense of tranquility and peacefulness.

This is by far my favorite music disk.

Let me tell a story.
Back in 2011, I used to visit my aunt’s house frequently. I loved going there for a few reasons. I liked to see my cousins, for one. But the main reason was to watch my older cousin play video games. He would play many games that I still don’t know the name of, but the main one was Minecraft. I used to always listen to the music that the game had. One of my favorite things to do with my cousin was to play the music discs. Back then, the music discs were new. Not long later, some bad things happened to my aunt’s family and she passed away. My two cousins did some very bad and spiteful things to her. Since I couldn’t see me cousins anymore, I found the world of Minecraft videos. I hadn’t known about Youtube until then. Eventually I asked my mother for Minecraft and he had my uncle download it onto my mom’s laptop. I remember being so happy the first day I got the game. I remember spawning in and first and the first thing I did was to dig strait down. However, I didn’t care, at that moment, I was happy. Time skip a few years, I got the idea to become a YouTuber. My first channel didn’t go well, but I kept going regardless. Time slip a few more years, I get the game on my Xbox One and meet many people. By now, I’ve learned how to play the game and have beaten it many times. I met someone who is one of my best friends to this day as well. Timeskip to now, I’ve made many creations and things in Minecraft and have built relationships and worlds from the game. I look back on the soundtrack now and think only one thing.

*We’ve come far.*

Edit (December 2022): Gah damn. I haven’t checked this comment in a minute lmao. The way I put things when I first made this comment we’re kinda cringy but I still stand by what I said. Minecraft has grown alongside me and has always been a sort of a comfort game.

Also, can y’all stop fighting in replies? Christ bro.

Does anyone like the first half better? I like the strings that build up and cut off in the background and the mysterious feel of the first half.

Far actually connects to Intro, the ending of Far goes right into Intro, which is also the song that comes after it in Volume Beta

If you ask me, this is the Farlands theme.
It just makes sense.

This song really does make you feel far from home.
I listened to this while I visited San Francisco, and it changed my view of the world completely. I now stop and look at beautiful sceneries, look up at the sky and think “I wish I was on a plane”
The second half also reminds me of my visit to Chinatown. It’s majestic and makes me feel alive. I adore it.
It’s like sitting under a tree on the hill near Coit Tower in a sunny day, looking at the bustling city below. I wish I could go back and listen to this while doing that.

Who knew a song from a video game could change a person so deeply?

Everytime i hear this ingame, i like to think that all the worlds I've made are connected, and that if i walked far enough.

I'd find the places that i worked on so long ago, the places of times now past.

The first half feels like you’re flying through the sky in an airplane, and the second have is your time at where you were going.
The first half simulates peacefulness perfectly, and the second half does a great job at bringing eastern music to the game.
I freaking love this

Reminds me of a long airplane ride where you've finally arrived

one word to describe this song: surreal

it makes me think of blimps, and how humongous they are. so easy to get lost in but so easy to admire too

The inverted-echoing effect is really cool, as the sounds fade out their stereo and reverb decrease

This disc was the very first disc I listened to in 2014. This one gives me absolute tons of nostalgia.
