Jain Murtis Found at Fatehpur-Sikri - D V Sharma - #IndicClips

The very name of Fatehpur-Sikri invokes in us an Islamic memory, the memory of Akbar, of Mughal Empire. There are many obvious examples of Hindu cities destroyed and remade as Islamic cities, however, Fatehpur is remembered by all as a novel and virgin creation of Akbar, the Mughal Emperor.

But Dr. D V Sharma, the former director of the ASI shockingly reveals the findings of his excavations at the Fatehpur-Sikri, telling us that the town was a vibrant Hindu town called Vijaypur and had a rich history of Hindu and Jain kingdoms. This Hindu-Jain town was so completely destroyed by the Islamic invaders that no trace of it is left on the surface.

Someone like D V Sharma, who could not lie to his profession and to truth, had to reveal the Hindu past of the place to us. And he also reveals other shocking betrayals of scholarship and history in which post-independence Congress-communist ASI directors, archaeologists and scholars were instructed to lie about the Hindu history of Fatehpur and many other places and to instead present it as a completely Islamic place.
