In tonight’s top story: U.S. President Joe Biden and the first lady are in Uvalde, Texas, trying to comfort another grieving community.

They visited a memorial at Robb Elementary School where 19 children and two teachers were killed in last Tuesday's mass shooting.

Heather Yourex-West reports from Uvalde where she sees people want to see action, not just empathy.

There has been no U.S. gun legislation passed in 25-years, and mass shootings have become an almost daily occurrence there, which causes Americans to be on edge.

Last night a stampede broke out at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn after people thought they heard gunfire at a boxing match. At least ten people were injured in the chaos.

As Jennifer Johnson reports, frustrated Americans are demanding change.

U.S. gun control advocates often look to Canada as an example of a system that works.

But over the years, gun violence has been on the rise in this country too despite what already seems like tougher measures to combat it.

As Catherine Urquhart reports, more federal legislation may be on the way in the midst of growing calls to do more.

Canada has committed nearly $2 billion dollars in aid to Ukraine, but President Zelenskyy is again calling for more weapons.

It comes as Russian artillery and air strikes threaten to turn the tide of the war. Jeff Semple has more from Ukraine.

The public inquiry into the murders of 22 people in Nova Scotia in 2020 is the subject of renewed skepticism.

Most victims’ family members have begun boycotting the testimony of RCMP decision-makers, claiming the mass casualty commission overseeing the public hearings is shielding the Mounties from full accountability. Ross Lord reports.

in Canada....you must keep your handgun in a safe in the house. Ammo must be in a different safe. So no, Canadians cannot protect themselves, legally, from a home invasion. If you are taking your gun out (to a gun range) you must drive straight there, and straight home. You cannot pick up a friend, stop at a convenience store or a gas station. The gun and ammo MUST be in the trunk, in another safe. There are laws saying that if one commits a crime with a gun, there's an automatic 10 yr prison is almost NEVER impose. All Canada has to do is apply the laws that are already in place.

Statistically, the number of firearm-related homicides in 2013 was an anomaly. When you use language like saying that the rate "jumped" by 11%, you lose credibility and become what the YouTube trolls say you are, an instrument of propaganda rather than information.
