HAND CANNONEER (Bohemians) vs EVERY UNIQUE UNIT (Total Resources) | AoE II: Definitive Edition

preview_player
Показать описание
The Hand Cannoneer is a gunpowder unit in Age of Empires II that can be trained at the Archery Range once the Imperial Age is reached and Chemistry is researched. It has a powerful attack, but low hit points and low accuracy at range.

In the total resources series, we consider 100 Food = 100 Wood = 100 Gold. In the equal resources series, we consider 100 Food = 100 Wood = 17 Gold.

If using bohemian HC, I'd compare them to castle age UUs

Good to know that flaming camels are a cost effective counter to hc

+5 HP is stronger than it seems. Old HC die infantries in 3 hits but now it stand until 4 hits (which is 33% more resistance) except Viking Berserk and Aztec champion. Elite Janissary should get +4 hp (total 55 HP) as well and royal janissary skin.

so they are just faster, right? (not counting the buff of this patch, which is for every civ that has access to it)

This test shows the importance of the rams. Put all the defeated infantry in to come close to the HC and the results would highly change

Indian elephants are like "no ... dont do that .. it tickles me!"
Deadly, ... not a single Indian elephants died where even tankier multiple Persian elephants were killed

Hey Mike you need to update your Dawn of the Dukes section in the description, it still says upcoming dlc and unknown civs

you should do like 6 or 4 hussite wagons + rest HC on equal ressources vs all unique

Nerf Obuch. They shouldn't be winning this. Increase the price of them, they're cheaper than Militia, or if not that, lower their attack or HP a bit. In return, buff their armour debuff ability, it barely seems to have an effect much of the time.

Do this vs castle age units, to really watch how they will perform vs castle age units

They seem to excel against slow moving heavy infantry but not do as well against any sort of cavalry, missile units or artillery.

They are supposed to counter infantry yet they lose a lot of the battles vs them (granted with no micro but still)

I dunno why you dont make the comparisons including the Eagles, steppe lancers and the battle Elephants in either the generic or the unique unit

What's special about bohemian hand cannoneers apart from being built in castle age again?
