Apparently this concept is actually taught in Micro and Macro Economics as well. The subject is known as the Big Mac Index, where you compare various currencies based on the price of a big mac and how the difference in price reflects on the cost of living in the economy...

in 1986 the Economist released an index called "the big mac index" as a guide to whether currencies are at their "correct" level based on the price of a bic mac in that country. Learned about this in economics took me a minute to make the connection.

Very interesting video! I would add that the most expensive Bigmac in the world is in Switzerland and that this country doesn't really have cash problems. I guess you have to compare this with the level of wealth of each country.
