I once asked a friend what I should do about my constant distraction, and she said "schedule your distractions." These neurotypicals be operating on a whole nother plane of existence.

To quote a super popular ADHD meme on tumblr; "Either everyone with ADHD needs to stop being so relatable or I need to go see my doctor right now."

I have anxiety and ADHD and my anxiety is like “DO THE THING! DO THE THING!” But my ADHD is like “....do we REALLY need to do that right now? That honestly seems like a future Anna problem.” And I normally agree with the ADHD....until I have three hours until the giant project is due then the anxiety takes over.

Best thing about being friends with other adhders: you don't have to apologise

Worst thing: they interrupt you and you get sidetracked and your conversation about dog breeds has accidentally turned into a discussion on critical race theory 😅😅

Just glad for not a single "Squirrel!" meme. That one has gotten old.

my mom always said that I couldn't have ADHD because I could sit still in a tree in the garden, reading an entire Harry Potter book in one day. The fact that I was soar from the uncomfortable tree, thirsty and hungry from not taking a break, forgetting to do my homework.. might have been some symptoms of hyperfocus mom :D

The most frustrating thing about “special place” is that when you finally *do* find the thing in the special place (sometimes years later after you’ve bought a new the thing), sometimes the special place actually makes some weird ADHD sort of sense, and you can even figure out (or even remember!) what you were thinking when you put it there, it’s just that your cunning plan lacked the one crucial detail of remembering the special place. 🤷🏽‍♂️

My favorite part about adhd storytelling is when i have an "adhd" conversation with my brother and no one else in the room has any idea what is going on.

Jessica literally Googled “how to get serotonin” 🤣

It’s absolutely relatable but also absolutely telling of our ADHD-caused depression.

"It's so hard to have a condition that makes you forget to do things, because then you forget to do the things to manage your condition" You just made your own meme! 😂

I’m so glad that when you talked about ADHD causing you to focus on some things and not others you talked about them being “engaging” because I often see people use the word “fun” and it annoys me because often the thing I get distracted by is less fun than the thing I want to be doing it just happens to be more immediate/shiny/forcefully grabbing my attention.

I keep forgetting that others feels exactly how I feel with adhd. It makes me so happy

About the “everyone has a little adhd”thing, I’ve found a really good analogy: everyone has a headache sometimes, doesn’t mean they have migraines. Or, everyone has the diarrhoea sometimes, doesn’t mean everyone has IBS

“Like trying to nail jello to the wall” This PERFECTLY explains how I feel when trying to read something for school that I don’t care about.

5:11 So on that note of it's almost impossible to do things you don't wanna do. My parents KNOW I have ADHD (they don't care). So when I needed to do chores (my chore was to wash the dishes untill every dish was clean) I started to feel sick like i was going to throw up. My parents called it my "work sickness" and called me lazy or my dad would just say "if you throw up you'll clean it up too".

Also, I laughed out loud at the Have you seen us keys and glasses meme, then noticed my glasses were dirty and needed a wash, then stopped at the door trying to remember why I'd got up, then looked back at the screen and saw Jessica's face and said, why did I stop watching memes, she is soooo great and relatable, then realized. Because glasses.
