Whether you're black, white, green or blue, one rule for all is the fairest way to go. The Australian PM is right.... if you make exceptions the system breaks down... always posing the same question...
Who decides which person is entitled to an exception?

For those following along at home and asking “why was Novak denied entry when two panels had given him a medical exemption?” let me explain.Novak somehow was able to get a medical exemption from the Victorian Government to attend the Australian Open. The assessment was made on information supplied, which the Tennis Australia chief medic has stated were not investigated re: veracity and authenticity of claims because ‘they aren’t investigators’.However, while he had permission to play the Australian Open, he has not satisfied the requirements to enter into Australia. Today, letters from Greg Hunt to Craig Tiley have been leaked which revealed the following:- previous infection with COVID does not satisfy the requirement of being fully vaccinated- quarantine-free travel can only be given to those who are considered fully vaccinated.- AIR can only be used for domestic citizens, and foreign exemptions are not worth the paper they are written on when it comes to Australian borders.- ATAGI is not responsible for the Border control and Border Force states that people must be fully vaccinated under ATAGI definitions to gain quarantine free travel into Australia. - more robust evidence of medical contraindication to vaccination must be presented at the border. We know that at 4pm today Novak Djokovic is challenging his deportation in Federal Circuit Court. In light of these documents, I predict that one of two things will happen: 1. He will be deported and then need to reapply with the correct documentation IF he has itOR2. He will be forced into a two week quarantine like any other unvaccinated person seeking entrance to Australia. Watch this space.Dr Sara MarzoukCraig Tiley was told, repeatedly, the conditions of entering Australia. State exemptions to attend events don’t supersede Federal border requirements for entry.

These days being deported from Australia is like be released from prison.

Hold the line Novak. The Open will be a farce without you.

Returning a negative test result is far more effective than simply having a vaccine passport. The vast majority of Australians are fully vaccinated and yet in the last two weeks there have been almost 300 thousand new cases of Covid-19. Those are the statistics and I assume that they are accurate. Perhaps this could be the case because fully vaccinated individuals have an overoptimistic perception that they virtually pose no threat to the community or themselves. This change in behaviour is far more dangerous than a professional athlete who returns a negative test. That's just my opinion, everybody has one.

The government has home court advantage, Novak brings it back to deuce.

The relevant authorities could have facilitated a way for unvaccinated players to compete? They did so last year, so it clearly can be done! They say without rules there would be chaos. Unfortunately, when you have incompetent individuals writing the rules you also have chaos.

Novak comes to Australia with the dream of winning another slam. If it’s a sin to dream, then Novak Djokovic is a sinner.
