Nice ! It would be great to also analyse the left hand because Brad is really creating rhythm with his two hands :)

After checking out idea 3 a couple times, I think it's probably playing at composition techniques: he's playing the line, doing it in retrograde and diminishing it, repeating that to reach the "strong" D note as passage work (which, if we're getting really wild, is kind of a transposition), and then bookending with the original motive again, with his sort of "post-script" almost comping in a separate range to punctuate the idea and show "that was the phrase I wanted to use there". It just seems like a pretty tight, well-written, simple idea that he pushed into a couple different contexts over the changes, mostly, but it's really neat to see how clinical the thought process can be through analysis.
