Sherman Klump (Eddie Murphy) is a big-hearted, overweight teacher. When he experiments with a slimming potion on himself, he becomes slim but also an obnoxious person.

Holy shit I never thought about this, but all of Sherman’s issues are represented in this.

The comedian: how everyone jokes about his weight.

His mom: buys him unhealthy food, but says he’s just fine the way he is.

Grabbing that Turkey leg: we see multiple times Sherman tries to eat light, but due to his insecurities he relapses into bing eating.


For such a funny segment they really did a good job showing Sherman at his lowest point and how it pushed into making Buddy love.
