Southern Louisiana suffers direct hit from Hurricane Francine

Hurricane Francine battered southern Louisiana with powerful winds up to 100 miles per hour, ripping off roofs and knocking out power for tens of thousands. Thanks everyone for the well wishes. We natives knew going into this that Francine didn't pack a very hard punch. Still when we see Jim Cantore, when the lights go out and the wind starts. We all get a little nervous as we remember Katrina. Nevertheless we woke up this morning WITH power and the cleanup begins!

😢 I visited New Orleans this last May and it was my first time visiting the United States. It was special to me. 💔My heart breaks for all the people and their families living through this situation. Specially the homeless people living in the city. I tried to help a couple of them with a little bit of money and food but it wasn't enough. I hope everyone is doing ok. 😢
