I have a pair of Yamaha's excellent NX-N500 mini monitors. A/B active self powered, XLR balanced and wireless and ethernet lan for Yamaha's Musiccast multi room streaming platform. What i have sounds amazing.

I can only imagine Yamaha making streaming network version of these speakers in active version. The sound d would be out of this world. I'm still waiting for Yamaha to make a new mini monitor network speaker.

very nice system, this yamaha are very good sounding some do not refer yamaha when talking about good speakers but some monitors i bought in the 70´s still using them on my home studio assembled in 1970 , with improvements till today, also have accuphse power amplifiers from the 70´s the last i bought was made by Eng. Carver that later in the 80´s bought a entire amplification system made by him in it´s own name "CARVER" and some huge Tannoy speakers to cope with it, i can´t move them not even with help from my son, already 50 years old, we have to put them on wheels and only then can be moved but hardly

That sounds beautiful, I don't know why the comments. I didn't sound them in real life, but just have to point out a lot of companies that make high-end systems also make entry level, or at least start from mid. KEF, Dali, Bowers&Wilkins, even Focal has some not-so-expensive models - I think the science (The physics and engineering of speakers, electronics etc.) for a cheap speakers and expensive is the same, but of course the materials are much improved, so you get a more high end system. We have in film school a 500$ euro Yamaha active speakers, and I think they sound nice for the price, so I can actually imagine it could be good.
