When I got to know about Korean culture, I was shocked to find out they also do the “aegyosal”! Not sure if theaters people do it too, but it’s been a common stage makeup technique for a long time in ballet history! I personally don’t think we ever considered a name, as it was all referred as stage makeup, but (basically) we use it for other purpose: to make your eyes more noticeable on stage (our line is often drawn with a considerably darker shade, and the highlighted part must be really highlighted… You have too certainly exaggerate more, as the goal is helping your audience to better see your face)! I’m an African American but I have double eye lids

I have average width almond hooded eyes, but I’m White and Native American. When I wear eyeliner (depending on thickness), I can’t stand how it covers so much of my eyelids, so I just gave up on eyeliner (when I do, I have to draw it very thin/ close to my lashes).
