looks like vizio has a better homekit support. I can turn on/off change mode

My HomeKit TV turns off but not on, it has something to do with power settings, and I have no clue how to change it

You have to connect your tv through ethernet not WIFI to be able to turn it on by home kit

you must turn on HDMI control for the power to work

Turn HDMI CEC on so it will turn your box, console or whatever device you have connected ON and OFF with the TV.
