AWESOME Scenic Otis Gen2 Traction Orange Elevators @ The UF J.Wayne Reitz Union in Gainesville, FL

These are the orange elevators in the J.Wayne Reitz Union on the University of Florida Campus. These were installed when this building was renovated, and these are some super cool scenic Otis Gen2 elevators! These things have a completely open shaft and are scenic, offering great views of the atrium this building has to offer. In addition, these are pretty fast for the height they go, and they run super well. On top of all of this, these have call buttons you can press with your feet! I believe those were installed as a way for those who are disabled to make it easier to call the elevator, but they also have definitely helped during the COVID-19 pandemic. Regardless, they're super cool! These are definitely some of the best newer Otis Gen2 elevators I've ridden in awhile, and I'm glad I got to ride these!
