It's good to see a move back to solid side pockets on Packs instead of those flimsy mesh things good only for holding ultra-light gossamer. Shades of my early '80's 'Backpacker Boulder' 75 Litre Pack. Solid and dependable .. just without the Moly.

Great review man! I have the SSO back pack from Russian Cold camo. It's great, very similar to yours but it is the older generation from the spetnaz days so the design is outdated. I'm thinking of picking this one up because it's so much better in every way.

That secret pouch on the bottom should hold butt stock for rifle, if it is tailored for AK47 then it might be too small for average hunting rifle stocks. I will take a second look into this pack, thanks for your time and effort.

Saving up for that pack, Has everything I want in a pack. Price is fair for the quality, but out of my range right now. I need that quality and shape to strap down on my motorcycle.

Very nice pack. To me it resembles my belgium rucksack a lot, with the 2 handle grip, and the sleeping compartment. Thanks to russian cold camo for importing this stuff to make it a little easier here for us in the states. Nice pack great vid. Thanks for sharring.

Although I love my 60 litre Bundeswehr flecktarn ruck I am mostly an external frame guy and just finished building two, a cadpat ruck from CP Gear that I scored a deal on and a C2/82 Pattern hybrid that I am really looking forward to using. That said, the Russian stuff should be pretty bomb proof.

There are 2 versiohs of 6Sh118. The older one with 2 side pockets and newer one with 3 and partially fixed cap (lid), newer is much better in the terms of how frame works. Hidden pocket I think is a showel pouch.
