I wanted to say. My son and I we bought an A1 printer and knew about this recall. Our printer gets here today. I wanted to watch this video even though I knew ours would not have that issue. I was very happy to see how detailed and how you had calming music to keep the environment calm. It is nice to know we bought a printer from a good company. Every video I watch makes me like our decision even more. I found out earlier that we can make points for filament and such how cool is that. Not a lot of companies do stuff like that anymore.

Thanks for the video. Just awaiting my notification to say my new heat bed is on it's way to me. Then hoping the store is nicely stocked for when I get my voucher.

Excellent video! Cant wait to dig in to my A1 and repair it. I like working with my hands anyway, so this should be fun.

Update: My replacement heat bed arrived today. Installed it very carefully in about 45 minutes. Taking my time to ensure I didn’t pinch any wires, and to ensure that all the vital steps were completed properly. Not very difficult at all - and I’ve never replaced a heat bed on any printer before. Very cool Bambu!

Please note that the FIRST time you take the large panel off there will be factory glue attaching it too and it is very difficult to not break the cover pulling it loose.

When extracting the cables you could tight them with a piece of rope/string.
Then pull them out, and you can use it for easier plug of the new ones. Just tie a knot and pull back

I never had the AI but I bought the Prusa MK3 kit a few years back. I can tell you the quality of this printer looks light years of the Prusa one. Putting that one together looking like it’s held together with tie wraps it looked like something from the 60s. This looks like what a open bed printer should have looked like from a company that was suppose to be one of the top 3d printer companies

Thank you, I just watched this for the second time, first time was waiting for the heat bed, second time now was just to refresh my memory of installing the heat bed now. I'm ready to get back to printing. Thank you for the heat bed and the video

Excellent video, I just know this is going to take me an hour to do since I have kids running around me all day. So, then I have to start and stop and rewatch the video again. ;)

My new bed just arrived today! Replacing it was easier than I thought it would be. If you can remove hex screws, you can replace this bed. Took me 45 minutes with multiple interruptions from family. If you watch the whole video beforehand, you could do this in 20 minutes.

Is it imperative for European users to obtain a certificate in order to use the machine and have warranty? If so, you will generate many complaints and return requests. Many, including myself, have based their decision to keep it on the understanding that it would not cost them a single euro more, and now you come out with the requirement of a certificate for its operation. A certificate that in some cases will cost the same as the printer.

I have been amazed with the engineering and design choices of this printer from start to finish. The fact that an unanticipated design flaw is SO easy to replace is amazing, and not to be taken for granted

The large bottom cover was glued on by the sloppy application of that white hot glue. It was liberally applied around the power supply then the cover was installed before the glue set. The same glue made it difficult to route the sensor wires and tape them down.

Calm down with the hot glue!

The electrical certificate requirement (EU specifically) is for legal reasons as this video is applied to a domestic device operating on main supply. I would say it would be logical for everyone to heed the note. They do state you can do it yourself, but they (Bambu Labs) take no responsibility/accountability if you fail to get it properly checked by a qualified person to ensure the device is safe to operate as intended.
Although I am not an electrical technician, I suspect the checks would be:
1. There are no potentials for an electric shock from the modifications, and
2. There are not shorts which may cause a fire.
While both are low if the procedure is followed to the letter, it is better to take a penny of prevention rather than a pound of pain. Besides if the printer fails you have a leg to stand on knowing the certificate is there to help with any legal claims.

I only want to ask, what are the best items to buy from discount we have got after the replacement?
Heatbed Nozzle Wiper and Hotend with Nozzle 0.4mm as spare items? Anything else?
I am not heavy printer but I know anything can break after some time, but I do not know the weak points of the 3D printers...

It is so pleasing to see it! You really have done a lot to achieve this Happy end!
Or rather the start of the next attack!

Are we required to pay a technician to certify that we have done the procedure correctly?
