Does octane booster from Dollar Tree do anything?

So I picked up a bottle of octane treatment from the local Dollar Tree. I was curious if I would get any results for one whole dollar. Watch along and find out

I use two bottles of this and half tank of gas. Had the engine light on for months with catalytic converter code and time came for a smog test in California, ran about 100 miles. Check engine light went off and I passed the smog test.

I put a bottle of this in with 87 and I average about 1-2 more mpg it about bumps it up to 89 quality. I think this is more intended for people running low octane fuel.

This stuff definitely does work. More so in carburetor fed engines. I have a little 50cc 2 stroke bike and dumped 2 of those bottles into the the gas tank. Btw dont worry i made sure to add extra oil to suffice for the booster. It makes double the power and top speed has improved significantly on the booster. Definitely worth a buck

I think this improves gas mileage and power depending on the vehicle. I ride old school 2 stroke 33cc and 2 stroke 49cc gas powered stand up scooters and I always add some of this in my gas and oil mix or I'll pour a little extra en the 1.5 gas tank. My favorite octane booster. There is also cheap fuel injector cleaner as well.

I have a Ford E150 with a V8 that I have to use at least 89 in or I get some very annoying knocking, which makes sense, bigger engine wants higher octane fuel....but I don't want to pay those prices if I don't have to. I can get away with 87 using an octane booster, it's cheaper that way, so figured I'd give this stuff a try since you can't beat $1 for every 20 gallons. It absolutely works for me. Sometimes just getting 89 fuel is hit or miss, like it barely fixes the issue, but using this stuff with 87 seems to do pretty well, been using it for over a month now. Like someone else said, probably a more practical purpose for it as opposed to maxing out your fuel efficiency.
