Thanks man !! Yeah you can Drag n Drop the Audio. What I Like to do is get a certain part of a Track and Drop it in Kontakt. This works good for Chopping samples whether vocals or Drums. I have even Done Instrument Riffs and Chords this way. once you have them setup save your presets so later can do what ever you want with them. As for the Format I just used a Wav. Format.

In part of the video are you refering too? If you mean your Audio, sample etc you can drag n Audio right into Kontakts browser and Edit them or you can use Kontakts Internal Brower and Find your sounds samples etc after that its smooth sailing. For example in this video I just drag a sound from Abletons browser into Kontakt. You dont have to do it the way it did it here you can use Kontakts Browser but it still works the same you just drag n drop it.

what do you mean by go past the next transient? a transient is a peak in a wave form. If you want longer midi notes you just hold the key longer.

You do have that option, but with this method you have more flexibility while you are in the Host Program for Playing and Editing Midi with out the mouse. Plus it make a good template so when you come back later everything is set up if changes need to be made. Either way works fine though.

You donot need a program to play Kontakt as it can used as a standalone application or a VST in a DAW. Yes you will need a program to record your work though that's supports VST's or Routing Audio so you record your work by opening it as a VST or routing the Kontakt outputs to the Recording program or DAW of your choice. Example - Maschine, Protools, Cubase, Ableton ETC.
