Lyrics
Oh
Aah
Ain't a hope in hell
Nothing is gonna bring us down
The way we fly
Five miles off the ground
Because we shoot to kill
And you know we always will
It's a bomber, it's a bomber
Scream a thousand miles
Hear the black death rising moan
Firestorm coming closer
Napalm to the bone
Because you know we do it right
A mission every night
It's a bomber, it's a bomber
No night fighter
Gonna stop us getting through
The sirens make you shiver
You bet my aim is true
Because you know we aim to please
Bring you to your knees
It's a bomber, it's a bomber, it's a bomber
Yeah

Those drums, that voice, the bass and guitar, that music that helps you fly five miles off the ground. Motörhead plus a bit of ‘Billy’, ‘I like it fine, I like a little whizz’. Motörhead and a ‘little whiz’ seems to generate some kind of alchemy that results in the most thrilling experience of your life, the joy is that you can experience that power again by visiting them playing live or listening to ‘No sleep ‘til Hammersmith’…..or for that matter any of their albums. I stopped taking Whizz when I was 42 and had a kid with a 26 year old woman I’d fallen in love with. Her and the baby helped me change my life for the better. No longer was I spending almost all my wages on booze and whizz and bringing folk home and playing Motörhead or Hawkwind depending on what the majority were high on. Yeah I had a job, but I was behaving like a 20 year old, I was so used to shrugging off responsibilities. But my new wife helped me change that and when my girl came along, she became the centre of my universe. I still listen to Motörhead good and loud when the two of them are out though. No one can scrub off the tattoos I have either. I’m a fan for life.
