Gmod - Bf 109

Made a ACF Bf 109 to dogfight with others in.
Took a few days to make, more time than an actual engine plane because I get more parts to use without lag being an issue.

A week or so ago I tried to make an ACF engine power a fin propeller, and I couldn't get it to work. Since you can't change the weights on the ACF stuff, the weights on the propeller throw the whole thing out of wack with the engine, and it has a crazy flywheel effect where after you start the engine it starts auto-rotating like crazy and pushing the aircraft all around. The propeller tool is definitely legit when using ACF engines.

Fin tool gives it lift and control, propeller tool gives it thrust.

Propeller tool is basically a thruster but it applies thrust depending on how fast something spins.

I got the prop to spin fast enough that it could probably take an aircraft up, by then it had a crazy auto-rotate effect (probably weighed too much) and with the way the fin tool works it was pushing enough thrust with the engine off to careen the plane out of control. Though honestly weight balancing was kind of weird.

I had no clue you could go over 100 efficiency for a fin and I've been using the Fin2 tool since it came out to make planes :P-- very few *fin powered* planes though.

Do a complete tutorial how to do bit advanced airplane all, acf, propellers, fin and stuff, also customication tips? You deserve a sub anyway but pleaseee!

I hate to disagree with you because I managed to get a propeller working quite nicely experimenting with gear ratios, you have to understand that the max a prop actually wants to spin is about 400 rpm, you can get them up to 600 or higher but they start spazzing.

If you have an engine with 8000 rpm you need a 0.05 ratio. I did not use a propeller because they are not easy to get to go super fast and more parts=more lag.

Also for props I use 25 weight 1000% no lift fin, try that and see.

ACF, Wiremod, Easyprecision, Smartsnap, Precision Alignment, Gigabytes Propeller Model Pack, Fin Too, Qeight Tool.

Thassit for this project.

the propeller tool is not part of fin? T-T I tried having 2 small fins orbit the prop as it would spin, that only provided thrust until it started moving around 5 MPH, then the torque needed to spin the prop became too great. 4 engines over 1k torque... it all seems pathetic.

That plane, although it has a propeller, it flies with the speed of a j

Thrust, how did you get the prop to provide thrusting force? it looks like 1 single prop ( not 3 fins)

hey is there anyway i can download the plane?

No it took me days to make for one, and for two I wouldnt do a tutorial on how to make a carbon copy of one of my creations.

How about making some tips video to get started?

Go google a picture of a 109 the whole things round except the canopy which on this is boxy.

I havea thing thats wrong (But its fine)
The real Bf109 had to pull down and then quickly pull up to get the tail wheel off and i think the spitfire had to do the same.

Reason 2 Is as I mentioned before it took days to make this, a tutorial would be so long it is unfeasible.

No. Go look up Dmanbiker 's tutorial on how to make a plane, and there are plenty on acf.

its not a bf 109 its to round its need to be boxxy

For real propellers you need to build your own engine, generally.

Go have a look.
