Volumes Using Cross Sections - Calculus 2

In this video, I'm going to show you how to find the volume of any shape using cross-sections. First, you find the area of the cross-section of a three-dimensional object. Then you integrate based on that area and that will give you the volume!

We will do two practice problems to help you grasp this concept. The first problem presents a solid with isosceles right triangles as the cross-section. The second problem asks you to find the area of a square cross-section. Both problems will require you to use definite integrals to find the volume.

In the next video, I will talk about solids of revolutions, an important topic in Calculus 2.
